PR and Communications Director

Position objective:

Ensure effective public relationship management with all key stakeholders
Increase the organization’s visibility among target audiences
Promote the brand of the organization, ensure consistency in branding and promotion efforts

Major responsibilities:

Strategy development:
Develop effective strategy for public relationship management
Develop effective strategy for branding and brand promotion

Execution:
Implement public relationship strategy and ensure success
Manage systematic and regular contact with key stakeholders, including government, local community, media, industry peers,  sponsors and target customers
Lead the firm’s overall effort in developing a favorable government relationship to support the organization’s operation
Manage media relationship, identify media partner candidates, establish and maintain media network
Lead proactive planning for news release and other media campaigns
Manage reactive interaction with media
Support the general manager and other relevant departments to establish collaborative relationship with local community and industry peers
Support the general manager and relevant department heads to conduct effective fundraising operations
Support the general manager and relevant department heads to maintain effective communication with target customers
Manage the daily operation of the organization’s information center and website
Implement branding strategy and ensure success
Define the key brand elements
Determine the effective communication vehicles for brand promotion, develop and execute promotion action plans
Design the standard visual identity associated with the brand, and implement across the organization and its operations
Standardize the organization’s external communication process and graphic design, issue guidelines for communication contents
Manage projects for PR campaigns and promotion campaigns
Define department’s budget, participate in organization’s overall financial planning 
 

Skill competency

Strong leadership capability, able to develop vision of the future of the organization, proactive and strategic thinking
Extensive knowledge of relationship management with government and media
Strong communication and presentation skills, able to develop and manage relationship with government, media and business organizations
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with a diversity of organizations and individuals
Attention to details and strong organizational skills, able to collaborate in operations involving multiple internal departments and external partners
Able to perform various tasks and work independently, able to prioritize and focus
Language skills: fluent in spoken & written English, native speaker in Chinese, French speaking capability a plus but not a must
Good understanding of corporate marketing campaigns

Education:

Bachelor or above university degree, majored in media, marketing,  government administration, business preferred
MBA/graduate degree a plus


Work experiences:

>5 years relevant work experiences, MNC experiences preferred
Marketing experience in consumer products a plus
Work experience in a Non-profit Organization a plus
